ATLANTA — Seniors, get out your calendars.
You’ve got until December 7th to enroll in Medicare or make changes to your existing benefits.
Part A is for hospital care; Part B is for doctors, medical procedures and equipment; and Part D is for prescription drugs.
But, carefully review Part C.
It is for a supplemental policy, either Medigap or privately sold Medicare Advantage.
Before you make any choice, speak to an expert as the terms and benefits can be confusing and you want to sure you get the one that best serves your personal needs.
And watch for Medicare scams that offer false deals and big discounts on equipment and genetic testing.
And be sure not to give out any personal information on the phone no matter what you are told.
