Atlanta Kroger closing along Cobb Parkway after more than 4 decades in business

The location at 3300 Cobb Pkwy SE will close on Saturday, Aug. 17, and its lease expires on Friday, Aug. 30.

ATLANTA — Kroger’s Atlanta Division announced on Wednesday plans to close its location along Cobb Parkway after 44 years. 

The location at 3300 Cobb Pkwy SE will close on Saturday, Aug. 17, and its lease expires on Saturday, Nov. 30. 

A Kroger spokesperson announced they will reassign all 70 store employees to other locations, and representatives will meet with them in the coming weeks to discuss their reassignments. 

“We appreciate the loyalty and support of our customers and look forward to continuing to serve their needs at nearby Kroger locations,” Kroger’s Atlanta Division President Victor Smith said. 

There are still several other Kroger locations that will continue to serve customers in the area: 

  • 4715 S Atlanta Rd SE, Smyrna, GA 30339
  • 3240 S Cobb Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30080
  • 1310 Powers Ferry Rd SE, Marietta, GA 30067
