ATLANTA — Stafford Properties is blending mid-rise apartments into the mix of its major Peoplestown project, the latest example of a torrent of residential construction pouring into the Southeast Atlanta neighborhood.
The Atlanta-based developer plans to place between 350 to 425 units on a former industrial site spanning 3.7 acres at 1111 Ridge Avenue SW. The vacant property borders the future home of Terminal South, which will add a food hall, offices and retail near the BeltLine’s Southside Trail. It will be a short walk away from a station along MARTA's Rapid Summerhill line debuting in 2025.
“We’re bringing a lot of value to Peoplestown with Terminal South,” said Melissa Ahrendt, executive director of real estate at Stafford Properties. “We want to see as much residential growth there as possible, because those are the people that are going to be supporting the small businesses we’re bringing.”
