DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The first payroll run of the new school year did not include around 300 new employees at DeKalb County Schools, according to the district on Saturday.
The district confirmed the payroll error on Thursday, which impacted several recently hired staff members.
According to a statement released by the district, the issue was discovered during the initial payroll processing, which inadvertently excluded approximately 300 new employees. The district has since processed payments for about 165 of these employees, with efforts underway to finalize payments for the remaining staff by the end of the day.
