2 dead in DeKalb County shooting near Stone Mountain

One was dead at the scene, the other person was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Police said two people were killed at a home near Stone Mountain in DeKalb County Sunday morning.

According to Jacques Spencer with the DeKalb County Police Department, officers responded to the home in the 4900 block of Central Drive in reference to a person shot call.

When they arrived, officers discovered two victims - Oscar Mateo and Santos Lopez. Police said one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Spencer said there are no suspects in custody at the present time and the police investigation remains ongoing.
