The Department of Watershed Management has officially lifted the boil water advisory for much of south Fulton County.
The advisory had covered homes and businesses in the cities of Fairburn, Union City, Chattahoochee Hills and South Fulton.
The DWM says samples take in the areas covered by the advisory have confirmed that there is no contamination to the public water supply in those areas.
The water in those areas may be safely used for all purposes without boiling first.
