COBB COUNTY, Ga. — It may be a part of the job for metro Atlanta first-responders, but the seriousness of a car accident is never lost on firefighters.
So, when they responded to one Saturday night in the area of I-75 and Barrett Parkway, Cobb County Fire officials didn't shy away from describing this one as they saw it: "horrific."
But in a social media post, fire officials in Cobb County said crews arrived quickly and acted even more quickly to save a trapped driver who was pinned. The third and fourth C-Shift battalions managed to save the person trapped in the wreckage and ultimately only reported one minor injury in the mess.
Since then, all lanes on I-75 have reopened.
