Atlanta artist aims to bring peace through new Christmas track

He wanted to release the song this year to help provide a sense of peace to families who might be going through a storm of tough times.

ATLANTA — The holidays are filled with our favorite traditional songs, and each year, we get new renditions and new takes on the classics. One artist who’s rooted in Atlanta’s gospel music community brought that vision to life this season.

Marietta native Jarrett Boyce, along with the David Walker and High Praise choir, released a new take on the classic hymn “O Come Let Us Adore Him.”  The soulful melody, combined with powerful harmonies, was released just in time for Christmas.

“As an artist, my goal is to always uplift everyone's spirit,” Boyce said

He added that he wanted to release the song this year to help provide a sense of peace to families who might be going through a storm of tough times.

“If I am able to be out in the community and share with others the good news of Jesus or even just offer them an encouraging word to let them know that what you are going through right now is only temporary…you are getting ready to enter into a whole new year so leave all of that in 2023 and go head on in 2024,” said Boyce.

Boyce joined the community choir, David Walker and High Praise back in 2017 and currently serves as the worship leader at Tabernacle of Praise Church International. He said his journey started when he was just two years old.

Boyce tells 11Alive that he grew up ministering in the youth choir at Great Community Church of God in Christ in Marietta. It was that time that sparked a passion to help the community heal and hope through music.

You can stream “O Come Let Us Adore Him” by Jarrett Boyce, featuring David Walker and High Praise on all platforms.
