JONESBORO, Ga. — Honorary Jonesboro Police Officer Buddy Divins knows a hero when he sees one.

The 21-year-old wanted to join up with the police department in Jonesboro, Georgia, because he looked up to the officers who serve. He also looks up to John Cena.

Second to the police department, wrestling is Buddy’s favorite! He loves going to the WWE events when they come through Georgia.

But the last time his Mom took him to one, he said it was "okay."

He was hoping to meet his hero, John Cena and told his friends at the police department how sad he was that he never got the chance.

So, these extraordinary officers went on a top-secret mission.

The next time WWE rolled through town, they made it their duty to surprise Officer Buddy with a meet and greet with John Cena. And he did not disappoint.

John Cena surprised Officer Buddy and nearly brought the whole place to tears. He signed autographs, hugged him, and even did the iconic “you can’t see me."

It was a day Buddy's mom, Ellen, says he will never forget. And as much as he’ll always remember meeting John Cena, Buddy will never forget the way those police officers made him feel.

They really saw him and what was important to him that day, going above and beyond to create something unique for their friend.

Sure, Buddy got to meet John Cena, but he also got to see how deeply he is loved. And that’s a knockout!
