ATLANTA — The Atlanta Braves and Make-A-Wish teamed up Tuesday to create a special afternoon for an 8-year-old diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.
Baylor Skelton and his family traveled from Hohenwald, Tennessee, to Truist Park, where he met his favorite player, Braves legend and MLB Hall of Famer Chipper Jones.
The young boy said he even has aspirations to be a member of the team one day.
According to the team, the Skelton family enjoyed a VIP tour of the ballpark before seeing batting practice.
Then, the family got to enjoy dinner in the Delta Club before being greeted by Jones.
To top it all off, Baylor got to play catch on the field before meeting the team.
The Braves also noted that the young boy aspires to be just like Jones. He plays third-base, wears No. 10 and is often referred as "Little Chipper" by his coaches.
