NEWNAN, Ga. — Swities everywhere are singing their hearts out after the star released her new album on Friday, but those looking for a twist on the horror-filled holiday can also indulge in Terror Swift, in Coweta County.
She's in her spooky era!
A family always looking to take Halloween to the next level is behind a massive display dedicated to the pop superstar Taylor Swift. The Dunn Family's display is decked with a 12-foot security skeleton and rumored beau, Travis Kelce.
Bryan and Stacey Dunn came up with the idea because Stacey loves Taylor Swift, and Bryan loves football. The two even advertised before putting it up, posting a sign that said a Terror Swift concert was coming about a week prior.
"Kids have been coming by every single day on their scooters and bikes, trying to get a glimpse of what we would come up with," Bryan said.
The nightmare dressed like a daydream uses 55 skeletons and features fans from the front row to the neighbor's yard, holding on to fake binoculars.
And the attention to detail is immaculate, with each skeleton wearing the famous friendship bracelets exchanged at the shows. That could be because the two did their research to be sure not to get into any bad blood with fans by seeing the Eras Movie before they set up the display.
"We wanted to see what the concertgoers were wearing, what they were singing along to," Bryan said, "research is important."
The animatronic skeleton sings along to Taylor Swift music when the display is on, though Bryan admits some of his neighbors aren't Swifties, so he cuts it off at a reasonable hour.
But on Halloween, he's not planning to be delicate; he said he'll keep it pumping all day.
If you want to see Terror Swift, head to North Shore Drive on Lake Redwine before Halloween because she's not making an encore next year.
"I'll probably have to move," Bryan said, "because I don't know how I can top this!"
