ATLANTA — A double shooting at an Atlanta apartment complex has left one person dead and another person injured Thursday afternoon, police said.
Atlanta Police said the shooting happened just after 5:30 p.m. at 3909 Campbellton Rd. SW, which is the Reserve at Birch Creek Apartments in the southwest part of the city.
When they got there, they found one man dead from a single gunshot wound. A second man, who had been shot several times, was rushed to the hospital in a car before police arrived.
Police said the person who survived the shooting is "alert, conscious, and breathing." They did not say what led up to the shooting and if a suspect was in custody or not.
