ATLANTA — One man is dead after a shooting Saturday night at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex, according to APD.
Police said officers responded around 10 p.m. to 4005 Campbellton Road SW, the location of Southwood Vista Apartments, in response to a person shot. The apartment complex is in the Ben Hill Terrace neighborhood.
APD said they found a man with a gunshot wound, and despite medical assistance on the scene, he was pronounced dead at the complex.
Homicide detectives are working to figure out what led up to the shooting.
