ATLANTA — The 15-year-old male suspect who allegedly fired the shot that struck and killed 3-year-old T'Rhigi Craig while he slept in the back seat of his mother's car on Easter Sunday has been arrested and charged with murder, according to DeKalb County Police.
The shooting happened on Sunday, April 1 at about 11:30 p.m. near the corner of Eastland and Bouldercrest Roads in Atlanta.
Police said they were able to find several witnesses who were able to help them determine that the fatal shot came from the gas station at the intersection.
The teen was found and arrested at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
"The loss of T'Rhigi is tragic and senseless," said DeKalb Police Chief James Conroy. "It is my hope that this arrest will bring some sense of comfort and closure to his family."
Detectives are still looking for one more witness seen on surveillance video who has not come forward. Anyone with information on that witness is asked to call DeKalb Police Homicide detectives at 770-724-7850.
