ATLANTA — A 15-year-old was shot multiple times on Monday evening in Atlanta, police said.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to the 1200 block of Princess Avenue SW in reference to a person shot shortly after 9 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy who had multiple gunshot wounds to the lower back. The teenager was sent to the hospital and was "alert, conscious and breathing," meaning he is expected to survive his injuries.
Aggravated Assault Unit Investigators responded to the area to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. This is an active investigation, police said.
