DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 19-year-old was shot and killed Wednesday night at a DeKalb County apartment complex, according to police.

DeKalb County Police said that officers responded to the 5800 block of Par Three Court just before 8 p.m. in reference to a person shot.

When they showed up, they found a 19-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound. Police said that initial information from the investigation shows that the teen may have known the suspects.

The apartment complex is near Rainbow Clouds Childcare just off Fairington Drive in Stonecrest.

Police said that no one is in custody at this time, and it is an ongoing investigation.

Editor's note: DeKalb County Police initially said this shooting was possibly drug-related and that the victim was 18 years old. They have retracted that information.
