EAST POINT, Ga. — East Point Police are investigating a double shooting that left one of the victims dead Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Officers were called to the 2900 block of the Stone Hogan Connector in Atlanta where two men were found with gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle. Police said one of the victims was taken to the hospital and a passenger was found dead.
According to police, the driver told officers the shooting actually happened in East Point in a joint parking lot of Citgo gas station and the Piggly Wiggly grocery story on Washington Road.
The police department sent detectives to both locations as they work to determine what happened.
