DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Two people will be extradited from Florida to Georgia in connection with a murder investigation.
Authorities arrested 32-year-old Rondriques Brundage and 23-year-old Caroline Alicia Davis in Tallahassee.
On July 9, Rodrell Mattews was shot at Chupp Road in Lithonia. Authorities issued a felony warrant for Brundage's arrest a few days later.
On July 22, warrants were issued for Davis, charging her with concealing a death and tampering with evidence. The warrants alleged that on the day of the shooting, Davis attempted to conceal Matthews’ death and tampered with evidence by knowingly destroying or altering evidence at the scene.
Investigations revealed that Brundage and Davis had left the state and were in Florida. Following contact with Tallahassee-area authorities, both suspects were located at a motel and arrested by authorities.
They were taken into custody at the Leon County Jail and are being held pending extradition to Georgia.
