MURRAY COUNTY, Ga. — Three teenagers and one adult have been arrested after an 18-year-old boy was shot and killed at a north Georgia party on Aug. 28, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The GBI said that deputies with the Murray County Sheriff's Office were called out to a home off Sexton Road in Resaca after a reported shooting. When deputies got there, they found that 18-year-old Jeffery Tyler Ray of Rydal, Georgia, had been shot at an outdoor party.
Ray was rushed to the hospital, where the GBI said he died. Another person was shot in the face but is expected to be OK.
The GBI and the Murray County Sheriff's Office arrested 25-year-old Anthony Wilkinson, 19-year-old TyKel Hutchinson and a 16-year-old and charged them with murder. A 17-year-old was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence.
The GBI said the investigation is ongoing.
