3 teens charged in connection to shooting death of Troup County 16-year-old

TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — Three teenagers have been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old in Troup County last month.

According to Troup County deputies, 19-year-old Ankeivious Moore and 18-year-old Jamicheal Williams were both arrested and charged with murder. A third suspect, 18-year-old Nadilee Jade Martin, was charged with false statements/writings and tampering with evidence.

On Aug. 28, deputies responded to a home in the 100 block of Montrose Way and found 16-year-old Kyren Johnson unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest. Johnson was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. 

Johnson was a student at LaGrange High School, according to the Troup County School System. The district previously told 11Alive it was devastated by his passing.
