ROSWELL, Ga. — Three adults and four teens have been taken into custody in connection to a "targeted" shooting that left two men hurt, the Roswell Police Department said.
Authorities said Monday, around 4 a.m., two men had arrived at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital with gunshot wounds. Roswell Police said one man was shot in the face, and the other man was shot in the leg. Both victims are expected to be ok.
Investigators said the shooting stemmed from a dispute at the Roswell Creek Apartments at 1000 Holcomb Bridge Rd. Roswell Police said the victims and suspects knew each other and had been involved in an ongoing dispute for several days before the shooting.
"The morning of the shooting, the suspects pursued the victim’s vehicle into the parking lot of the apartment complex, where they opened fire," the police department said in a release.
Investigators were able to track down the two suspect vehicles involved. Roswell Police took a 15-year-old, three 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old into custody before the end of the day on Monday. They all face two counts of aggravated assault charges.
The three adults have been booked into the Fulton County Jail. Meanwhile, those under the age of 17 were booked into Metro Regional Youth Detention Center.
Roswell Police said their investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-4100. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS(8477) or online here.
