HOUMA, La. - Nine people were arrested and three more were being sought following a month-long, undercover operation at the Wet and Wild Saloon on Highway 182 in Houma.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office said surveillance was begun after intelligence suggested that the bar's employees were involved in prostitution and illegal narcotics trafficking.
Thursday night, a search warrant was conducted on the business. The search resulted in the arrests of nine suspects for various crimes including soliciting for prostitution and, promoting prostitution and distribution of methamphetamines.
There are three suspects wanted in connection with this investigation that are at large.
All suspects were jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.
