OHIO, USA — A man was charged with rape and other sex crimes after deputies found him with a 12-year-old girl from Hall County who was reported missing for nearly 2 months, according to an indictment.
Antonio Agustin-Ailon, 34, was charged in Ohio, where the girl was found on the following:
- Rape (Two Counts)
- Gross Sexual Imposition
- Pandering sexually-oriented matters involving a minor or impaired person (Two Counts)
- Interference with custody
"The offender purposely compelled the victim to submit by force of threat of force," the document reads in part.
The indictment said that from May 29 to July 26, Agustin-Ailon "engaged in sexual conduct with a child victim," who was, at the time, less than 13 years old. It also states that he did "create, record, photograph, film, develop, reproduce, or publish material that shows a minor participating or engaging in sexual activity, masturbation or bestiality."
No other details about the trial were released.
More on the case:
Investigators said they believed the 12-year-old girl had been communicating with the man via Facebook and had told him she was unhappy and wanted to leave home. Despite the communication, Sheriff Couch reiterated that the child was still the victim.
Authorities said the man drove from Ohio to Gainesville, Georgia, on May 29, picked the young girl up, and then traveled back to his home in Dover, Ohio. He was arrested and taken into custody.
