ATLANTA — The scene where Atlanta Police believed an armed suspect may have been barricaded inside a northwest Atlanta home has been cleared, officers said.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a report of a dispute involving a weapon at a home on the 400 block of Griffin Street NW. Atlanta Police said that out of an abundance of caution, officers secured the immediate area and Tactical Field Operators also responded to the scene.
APD initially believed the suspect may have still been inside the home. However in an update around 9:10 p.m., police said the area was being cleared.
No injuries were reported.
No other details were provided about what happened. APD said the investigation is continuing.
