ATHENS, Ga. — Athens-Clarke County Police said Wednesday a violent sexual predator was removed from the community after his conviction last month on multiple human trafficking charges.

Charlie William Jordan, 39, was sentenced to life without parole plus 50 years after a jury found him guilty of three counts of human trafficking in May, plus additional charges that included aggravated assault.

A rape charge in his case was declared a mistrial.

Athens-Clarke County Police said any victim of sexual assault, or anyone who knows a victim, should contact The Cottage Sexual Assault Center and Children’s Advocacy Center at 877-363-1912.

"We would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and dedication to removing this violent sexual predator from our community," a police release said.
