ATLANTA — A man was found shot Monday morning in the Virginia Highland neighborhood of Atlanta, later dying at the hospital, police said.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, units responded to an address on Ponce De Leon Avenue just before 9:30 a.m. for a call of a man shot.
A police statement said they confirmed the man was deceased and are officers are still gathering details.
"Grady EMS responded to the scene and transported the male to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased," a statement said.
There was no identifying information available about the man.
He was found at 1026 Ponce De Leon, where a number of community outreach organizations and churches have offices.
