ATLANTA — A man was shot and killed early Sunday in Atlanta's Mechanicsville neighborhood, police said.
According to an Atlanta Police Department statement, officers responded to person shot call at a location on Pryor Street a little after 4 a.m. Responding officers found a 39-year-old man with "apparent gunshot wounds."
"The male was transported to the hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel," the police statement said.
Homicide Unit investigators are working to determine exactly what happened in the incident, the statement said.
