ATLANTA — Atlanta Police are asking the public to take a look at the sketches of two men they believe were involved in a home invasion involving a police recruit.

Police said the recruit began hearing noises around 2 a.m. on Sunday when he saw two men had entered the apartment through the bathroom window.

One of the men began choking the recruit, but he was able to get away and call 911.

The suspects were also able to get away with some of the recruit's belongings. Investigators do not believe he was targeted due to his connection with the Atlanta Police Department.

The suspects were described as wearing long sleeve shirts and black shorts.

Anyone with information on their identities is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
