On Sunday, police released a sketch done by a Georgia Bureau of Investigation sketch artist that depicts a suspect connected to the Feb. 25 homicide on Piedmont Avenue, where police found Javare Shakir-Fulford, 21, shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Significant public safety issues affecting the gas station near Georgia State University's campus made the company close the Piedmont Avenue location. Shortly after the location shuttered its doors due to the safety issues, another shooting happened.

There have been previous violent incidents at this gas station, which GSU students told 11Alive back in October was the source of lots of trouble. The conversation came after four people, including two students, were shot near the gas station at an off-campus location in November, leading to the death of a 19-year-old woman.

Atlanta Police is asking anyone who might be able to identify the individuals in this particular homicide to contact the department's homicide unit at (404) 546-4235.
