ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — A man is now behind bars in connection to a deadly shooting in Rockdale County on Thursday night following an argument, according to deputies.
Deshaun Elder is facing felony murder, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies and aggravated assault.
The incident happened on Thursday around 8:25 p.m. on Barcelona Way when officers got a call about a person shot, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived, they found a 23-year-old man who was shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Authorities stated that they believed there was an argument over laundry between the victim and Elder about an hour before the shooting.
No details about the identity of the victim were released.
