BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — A Bartow County man has been arrested after being found with blood on himself inside a home where a body was found wrapped in a blanket on the living room floor, authorities said.

According to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office, deputies and investigators were sent to a residence on Chastain Drive on Sunday in reference to a welfare check and possible domestic dispute, which was later determined to be a homicide investigation.

Upon arrival, deputies initially attempted to make contact with the residents at the home but after no response, they had to force their way in.

When they got inside, authorities said they found 52-year-old Antonios Pete Kostopoulos inside the home with blood suspected to be on him. He was taken into custody without incident.

When they were clearing the residence, 42-year-old Karina Moreno was found on the living room floor dead and wrapped in a blanket, the sheriff's office said.

Kostopoulos is being held in the Bartow County Sheriff's Office Adult Detention Center without bond on charges of murder, aggravated assault-strangulation, two counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, concealing the death of another and tampering with evidence.

This is an ongoing investigation, and no further arrests are expected at this time, the sheriff's office said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bartow County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 770-382-5050 ext. 6029.
