GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A body found in a small pond in Gwinnett County on Tuesday morning has been ruled an accidental death, according to police.
Gwinnett County Police said in a release on Wednesday that the medical examiner's office had "determined that the manner/cause of death was accidental drowning."
According to police, the man had a "lengthy medical history." A toxicology report is still pending.
His identity is known, but has not been released.
The Gwinnett County Police Department said on Twitter on Tuesday that the body was found along Indian Trail Lilburn Road next to the InTown Suites hotel.
A man walking across the bridge discovered the body, described as a fully clothed male lying face down in about two feet of water.
