2 hurt in stabbing on Thanksgiving Day in Calhoun

Here is what we know.

CALHOUN, Ga. — Law enforcement officers in Gordon County responded to stabbing on Thanksgiving Day.

“We have two individuals hurt," said Gordon County Deputy Robert Paris.

He said both men were airlifted to a hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn. This all happened on Carter Street in Calhoun around 2 p.m.

The sheriff's office told 11Alive they believe possibly stabbed each other at the mobile home.

“We’re canvassing the area for witnesses and will be executing some search warrants," said Paris.

Paris added that one of the men appears to be in serious condition.

“There is a language barrier that we’re having to deal with so that will slow the investigation somewhat," he said.

No one is in custody at this time. It's unclear how the two men know each other at this time. Authorities are still investigating.
