A 39-year-old Riverdale woman was arrested and indicted last week for taking more than $21,000 from a Marietta Zaxby's restaurant where she worked as a cashier, according to court documents.
The criminal warrant said that Shaniqua Smith stole $21,407 between January 1, 2019, and April 25, 2019. According to the warrant, Smith would void out cash transactions and pocket the money.
The court documents indicate this took place over the course of about 1,000 incidents between January and April.
Smith has been charged with felony theft by taking an amount over $1,500. She has been released from jail on $20,000 bond.
