CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — An arrest was made in a Clayton County murder case, the sheriff's office announced Sunday, after the suspect had been on the run for months.
The Clayton County Sheriff's Office said Tremaine Jackson had been arrested in DeKalb County for a shooting that occurred on June 9 last year at a home along Hwy. 85.
The suspect, Tremaine Jackson, faces charges including felony murder, murder, aggravated assault and others.
Jackson is alleged to have shot the victim multiple times and then "left the residence with a bag and gun in his hands and jumped into a vehicle, feeling the scene."
He is also facing charges in Cobb County including aggravated assault and gang violence, the sheriff's office said.
He was taken into custody at an apartment complex on Bouldercrest Road in DeKalb County with coordination from Cobb County Police, DeKalb County Police and Clayton County Sheriff's Office units.
"You can run, but you can’t outrun 3 units and 3 Counties," Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen's release stated.
