CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County Police have been called to investigate a shooting scene where they found one person dead on Friday night.
The shooting happened in the area of Peartree Lane - a road not far from Flint River Road west of Jonesboro. Many details about the shooting haven't been released due to the investigation being in its early stages.
However, a spokesperson for the Clayton County Police Department said that the victim was an adult male and that it appeared that he may have known the person who killed him.
Police haven't publicly named the suspect or said whether they have anyone in mind for the crime. They know, however, that he escaped on foot.
