Woman injured in double murder-suicide filed for divorce prior to her husband allegedly shooting her, two others

Gwinnett County Police Department received a call around 1 a.m. for a domestic disturbance at The Views apartment complex along Country Walk.

Documents released by Gwinnett County courts highlight new details after a man opened fire on three people, including his wife, killing two and himself at a home on Tuesday morning.

It all started around 1 a.m. when Gwinnett County Police Department received a call regarding a domestic disturbance at The Views apartment complex along Country Walk. When officers arrived, two men were found dead, and two women were found injured from gunshots.

Police said the two women were taken to the hospital, where one died. Officers added that a 2-month-old infant and a 46-year-old woman were found safe inside the home.

Through their investigation, police said a couple, 52-year-old Corey Jones and 56-year-old Dana Farmer, were shot and killed. Officers identified the shooter as 27-year-old Frank Wilburn Jr.

Documents show that the woman who survived was married to Wilburn Jr. She had filed for divorce on Jan. 18, citing that their marriage was broken, adultery and wrote, "he does not give me money for food, medical expenses for myself or the children."

The court documents also add that she was looking for joint legal custody of their three children but for them to live with her and asked for alimony, citing that she relied on the suspect for the majority of her expenses.

She also asked the court for a restraining order, which was filed a day later, but court documents do not detail the circumstances.

Investigators said that the two had a court date scheduled later on Tuesday. Police said they believed he came into the home, shot all three people, and then took his own life.
