GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — One person has been detained after a deadly shooting at a Gwinnett County apartment complex Friday evening.

Gwinnett County Police said the victim - a male - appeared to be a juvenile. Police said the shooting happened at 2400 Windsor Woods Lane, which, according to Google Maps, appears to be near the Huntington Ridge Apartments.

"Preliminary details indicate that at least two males were involved in a type of altercation that led to gunshots being fired," officers said in a news release. "Detectives have one male detained at this time."

Cash was located near the victim, which police said possibly indicates a transaction had taken place. Gwinnett Police said homicide investigators are canvassing the area and conducting interviews about what happened.
