DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman and a man are now dead after a shooting at a DeKalb County motel early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police said they were called to a shooting at 3675 Flat Shoals Road, which, according to Google Maps, appears to be the address for the Efficiency Lodge.
The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office identified one of the victims as 35-year-old Mariana Mitchell. Medical Examiners did not identify the second victim as they are still waiting to notify the family.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman shot to death inside one of the rooms and a second victim who was shot. The second victim was taken to the hospital, where they later died.
DeKalb County Police has not released any identifying information on the victims. Authorities have not said if they are looking for any suspects.
Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
