DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman was killed and another person was injured after a man allegedly shot them following a car accident early Tuesday morning, according to police.
DeKalb County Police responded to the 3000 block of Boring Road for a person shot call just around midnight. When they arrived, they found two victims shot.
Authorities added one of the victims, who was a woman, died. The suspect was arrested on Wednesday. According to jail records, Jaquarious Newton is facing the charges of malice murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
According to redacted warrants, it appears that Newton allegedly chased the victims after being involved in an accident. Newton shot at them, according to the warrants, and one of the victims died from their injuries.
