ATLANTA — A man is dead after a shooting in Downtown Atlanta Monday evening, according to the police department.
Officers responded to the shooting at 5:20 p.m. near 199 Peters St. SW, which is near the downtown Clarion Inn & Suites and not far from the Garnett MARTA station, APD said.
When officers arrived, APD said they found a man shot. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
11Alive SkyTracker flew over the scene and spotted crime tape and several officers responding.
Atlanta Police homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No other details were released from authorities at this time.
