Man dead after argument leads to shooting at East Point gas station, police say

EAST POINT, Ga. — A man is dead after a dispute led to a shooting at an East Point gas station Wednesday, according to the police department. 

Authorities responded to 2641 Main Street, which is the address of a Texaco gas station-- down the street from Tri-Cities High School. 

East Point investigators believe two men were arguing when one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other man. 

Officers arrived on scene and were able to take the suspect into custody, the police department said. 

The injured man was taken to Grady for medical treatment, but police said he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

East Point Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
