DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A man was found shot in the face and collapsed on a sidewalk outside a DeKalb County gas station early Wednesday morning, police said. His injuries are considered life-threatening.
The 38-year-old man was found near the intersection of Columbia Drive and Memorial Drive, outside the Chevron gas station at that intersection.
He was taken to the hospital, police said, after being found around 12:30 a.m.
It was unclear where he was shot or what circumstances surrounded the shooting.
"Detectives responded to the scene to further the investigation," a police statement said.
