DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A man is dead after a shooting at a DeKalb County gas station Tuesday evening, according to the police department.
Authorities responded to a Citgo gas station shortly after 4:50 p.m. at the 2300 block of Columbia Drive. 11Alive SkyTracker flew over the scene, where you can see several DeKalb patrol cars and crime scene tape surrounding the gas station and an Xfinity store.
When officers arrived, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital by EMS for medical treatment with life-threatening injuries, according to DeKalb County Police. He later died at the hospital.
Investigators believe the man was in an altercation with the suspect in front of the store before the shooting. As of Tuesday at 9 p.m., there is no one in custody for the shooting.
Detectives are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
