DECATUR, Ga. — DeKalb County Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times and killed in Decatur on Friday afternoon.
Police said they responded just after 2:45 p.m. to the 2700 block of Wesley Chapel Road in response to a person shot. When officers showed up, they said they found a 40-year-old man dead in the parking lot with several gunshot wounds.
The victim appeared to be in a dispute with the suspect before the shooting, police said.
The shooting appeared to have happened just off I-20 near a QuikTrip gas station and Zoom Express Car Wash.
It's unclear at this time if police have identified the suspect or have them in custody. 11Alive is working to learn more.
