PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. — A man accused of hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene has been arrested.
According to Gwinnett County Police, 22-year-old Christian Anthony Kell Myler was charged with hit-and-run on Monday.
Officers were called to Holcomb Bridge Road near Crooked Creek Road in Peachtree Corners last week after a 28-year-old woman was hit by a car.
Gwinnett Police said the woman was walking across the road outside of the crosswalk when a car headed south on Holcomb Bridge Road and approaching Crooked Creek Road hit her.
The driver left the scene without rendering aid or calling 911, according to officers. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Based on the debris left at the scene, investigators believed the vehicle that struck the victim was possibly a red Hyundai.
On Tuesday, investigators identified Myler as the diver of that red car. Police said he was behind the wheel of a 2017 Hyundai Sonata the night of the crash.
He was arrested and taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center, but police said he has since bonded out of jail.
