COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — A former East Coweta athletic teacher is out on bond after he was arrested and charged in connection with alleged inappropriate behavior with students.
According to the Coweta County Sheriff's Office, Mitchell McTier, 25, faces charges of sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority.
Officials say McTier allegedly made inappropriate comments to several female student trainers and touched one female trainer inappropriately. Authorities said they were made aware of the allegations when a student trainer went to the principal.
McTier was arrested on Wednesday morning.
