ROSWELL, Ga. -- 11Alive News has exclusive new documents that provide greater detail into the timeline of events surrounding the murders of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis.
Documents show 20-year-old Jeffrey Hazelwood’s vehicle and surveillance cameras were key to connecting him to the murders of the two 17-year-olds. According to the documents, surveillance video from a UPS in the Kings Plaza Shopping Center where the two teens were killed on August 1, helped piece together the details.
Henderson and Davis were found that morning in between their two cars both dead from gunshot wounds to the head.
Video from that location shows those two cars entering the rear parking lot at approximately:48 a.m. It turns out after investigators compared that camera to others in the area, it was one hour and 24 minutes behind. Meaning, it was actually 3:12 a.m. when the two cars entered the area.
The vehicles eventually made it to an area that wasn’t covered by a camera.
One minute later, according to the documents, a man enters the same area on foot and eventually he walks out of frame.

The documents show 20 minutes later he is seen sprinting from the area.
That man matched the description of Hazelwood. Approximately one hour later, the man returns wearing a mask, according to the footage. He then walks away from the area again seven minutes later, according to the documents.
Additional video footage from Publix, within that shopping plaza, shows a silver SUV which appears to be a Honda Passport leave via the GA-92 exit.

There is a noticeable difference in coloring between the rear and front wheels, with the front wheel being darker.
At some point investigators learned Henderson’s bank card was used at a gas station on GA-92 in Woodstock, Georgia.
Surveillance video from that location showed that same man, pumping gas into the Honda Passport and a small gas can wearing that same mask in the previous video. That Honda was later spotted at Hazelwood’s girlfriend’s home in Cobb County.
Police conducted surveillance of the vehicle.
According to the documents, Hazelwood eventually got in the vehicle and drove to a QuikTrip on Woodstock Road in Cobb County where he was arrested.
The documents show they found a small gas can, two long guns, and that same mask from earlier in the rear cargo area and backseat.

According to a detective during a preliminary hearing, Hazelwood admitted to following and watching Henderson and Davis. He also admitted to sexually battering Henderson and killing both teenagers.
No motive is clear in this case, but Hazelwood’s did mention a struggle with mental issues at his last hearing.
Hazelwood’s case will go before a grand jury on Friday September 9 at 9:30 a.m. in Fulton County.
He is facing a number of charges including murder.
