Father arrested after child ingests suspected meth

Police said Keith Edward Teubner Sr. didn't seek medical care even though he knew what the child had eaten.

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a father is in jail after his 2-year-old son ingested what investigators suspect was methamphetamine.

The Spalding County Sheriff's Office learned of the incident when they were called to WellStar-Spalding Regional Hospital on reports of a toddler who appeared to have the drug in his system.

Investigators later learned that the suspected drug had come from the bedroom of Keith Edward Teubner Sr., the child's father.  As they continued to look into the incident, police said they learned that Teubner knew the child had ingested drugs but didn't seek medical care for him.

The child was turned over to the Georgia Division of Family and Children Service
