FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- Police are looking for a man accused of groping a woman along a popular park and trail in Forsyth County.
According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a report on Wednesday from a woman running on the Big Creek Greenway near McFarland Parkway.
She told deputies that a man walking on the trail groped her. The incident happened in the early morning according to the sheriff's office.
"This is an unfortunate but timely opportunity to remind Greenway users to consider the buddy system as well as to be vigilant of their surroundings and security," authorities warned.
Since then, deputies have stepped up patrols in the area as a matter of keeping locals safe but also in an effort to spot the man allegedly responsible.
Based on the victim's description, the sheriff's office said the man is black and appears to be in his mid-30s with a muscular build. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and clean-shaven. The victim also said he was wearing a blue or gray t-shirt, navy or black shorts and a gray baseball hat with tennis shoes.
In the meantime, the sheriff's office is requesting anyone who sees something suspicious to report it to police.
